ALBUM REVIEW: Shane Owens' 'Where I'm Comin' From'

US country music singer Shane Owens’ latest album ‘Where I’m Comin’ From’ was released back in 2016 but with the release of his new single ‘All The Beer In Alabama‘ UK fans have been formally introduced to Owens’ smooth Southern tones so we thought now would be a good time to review his latest LP.

Shane’s vocals are country through and through with a Southern lilt that makes you want to roll down your car windows and sing out loud. It’s the perfect country music album for a road trip in the summer.

The standout tracks on the LP include ‘Blame It On A Woman’, and ‘Country Never Goes Out Of Style’ which make you want to organise a line-dancing festival. Another standout song is the stripped back ‘God And The Ground She Walked On’ which shines a light on Shane Owens’ fabulous vocal ability.

But the overall best track on ‘Where I’m Comin’ From’ is the brilliant ‘Country Boy’ which makes you yearn for Summer so you can roll down your windows and blast it out. It’s a really fantastic track with catchy lyrics, great story, and a toe-tapping beat.

If you love old-school country then this is the album for you!

The full LP tracklist is as follows:

Where I’m Comin’ From
All the Beer in Alabama
